Chief of Behavioral Health
For the past seventeen years, Robin Govanlu has worked in the healthcare field, specializing in the treatment of co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. Robin became dually licensed in Colorado as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC). Upon relocating to New York State in 2020, Robin received her License as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
While in Denver, Robin acted as the program supervisor for a large safety net hospital from 2015-2020, overseeing the clinical operations for four substance use disorder programs, including an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP), an adolescent program, a specialized program for high-risk pregnant women and families, and a traditional outpatient program.
Robin joined the Oak Orchard Health team in July 2020 as the Behavioral Health Director and has since moved into the Chief of Behavioral Health role. In this role, Robin is involved in program development and expansion, quality improvement initiatives, administrative supervision of clinical staff, and direct patient care.
