The Dr. Mary E. Obear Health Center in Pembroke
Our Pembroke office, which opened in 2002 as part of Pembroke Family Medicine, joined the Oak Orchard Health family in 2020. At that time, we also dedicated the health center to its founder, Dr. Mary E. Obear. As part of Oak Orchard, it enables us to expand our services from primary care to include vision, dental, behavioral health, and patient engagement.
The health center is located in the hamlet and town of Pembroke which are named after a town in western Wales, UK. Today, Pembroke is home to dairy-related businesses such as Kutters Cheese Factory.
The American Heart Association (AHA) recognized the Pembroke Health Center for earning Silver level recognition as part of the 2022 Check. Change. Control. Cholesterol™ Recognition Program! The Center has shown improvement in the quality of care for its patients through awareness, detection and management of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular risk factors.
