Shannon Bartlett, ANP

Shannon always had a love for science and was passionate about helping people. That led her to choose a career in medicine. She has a vast background in medicine, starting as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) where she became familiar with working alongside nurses and doctors and caring for predominantly older adults. Shannon knew a nursing career was for her, with a focus on caring for adults.

Several people, including her parents, played a significant role in her decision to pursue more education and advance her career. One person in particular played a significant role — an LPN she worked with right out of high school. She was and still is one of the most compassionate nurses Shannon has ever met. She taught her so much and believed in her ability to be a nurse. In 2021, she received her Master’s Degree and became certified as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. 

Shannon is also a strong proponent of preventive medicine. She strives to do everything possible to prevent patients from developing illnesses and comorbidities. she tries to promote education at every appointment so people are knowledgeable about their conditions.

Shannon chose Oak Orchard Health because of its commitment to the community which is her community. She lives with her family here which makes it even more special. She enjoys spending time with her husband and children. They enjoy camping, spending time with family, working on their hobby farm raising chickens and growing pumpkins.
